6 Days Fes to Marrakech Tour: Fes, Chefchaouen, Sahara Desert and Kasbahs
Read the Itinerary ↓Our 6 days Fes to Marrakech tour puts the north and the south of Morocco into one private trip. You spend your first days in Fes with a licensed guide, take a day trip to the Blue City of Chefchaouen, then cross the Middle Atlas to the Erg Chebbi dunes, sleep in a desert camp and follow the Todgha and Dades gorges and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Marrakech.
It is the ideal Morocco tour package if you land in Fes and fly home from Marrakech. Three nights in the same riad in Fes keep the first half relaxed, and the second half is a classic Sahara desert tour. You travel privately, with your own vehicle and the same driver-guide from the first transfer to the last drop-off.

Why choose a private 6 day tour from Fes to Marrakech?
Many travellers try to see Fes in an afternoon and Chefchaouen on the way somewhere else. This tour does the opposite: it gives Fes a full guided day and Chefchaouen its own day, sleeping in the same riad for three nights, and only then sets off for the desert. You see the imperial north properly before the long drive south.
Booking privately means your own vehicle, your own guide and your own pace. Prefer to sleep in Chefchaouen rather than return to Fes? We can arrange it. See our guide to private vs group tours in Morocco for the full comparison.

- Accommodation level: standard, superior or luxury riads, kasbahs and desert camps.
- Season: Christmas, New Year, Easter and the spring and autumn peaks book up first.

Favorites Morocco Tours vs other Morocco tour companies
Many Fes to Marrakech tours squeeze Fes into an evening and skip Chefchaouen entirely. Ours gives Fes a full guided day and Chefchaouen its own day from the same riad, then runs a proper desert crossing with a camel trek, a night in the dunes and the gorges and kasbahs of the south.
We are a local team: real driving times, the same driver-guide and no compulsory shopping stops. If you are short on time, the Fes to Marrakech desert tour 4 days covers the desert part only.
Know before you go
- Day 3 (Chefchaouen) and day 4 (Merzouga) are long driving days. If you prefer, we can make day 3 one way and sleep in Chefchaouen, then drive from Chefchaouen to Fes for lunch on day 4 and continue south the next morning (one extra day).
- Fridays are quieter in the Fes medina, with many shops closed around midday prayer. Tell us your dates and we plan the guided day around it.
- From December to February, snow is possible in the Middle Atlas and on the Tizi n’Tichka, and desert nights drop close to freezing. Pack a warm layer; see what to wear in Morocco.
- In July and August the south is very hot, often above 40 °C. Spring and autumn are the best seasons: check the best time to visit Morocco.
- Bring cash in dirhams for lunches and tips. ATMs exist in every town on the route but not at the camp; see our guide to the Moroccan dirham and to tipping in Morocco.
- Pack a small overnight bag for the desert camp, because your main luggage stays in the vehicle.
