Why choose a private 7 day Morocco tour from Tangier?
Seven days is the shortest loop that covers the four great regions of Morocco: the Atlantic coast, the imperial cities, the High Atlas and the Sahara. It starts and ends at the Strait of Gibraltar, so there is no one-way flight to book and no extra transfer back to the ferry.
A private tour means your own vehicle, your own pace and no waiting for a group. You can reverse the loop, add a night in Chefchaouen or a second night in the dunes. Read about private vs group tours in Morocco to compare the two formats.

Favorites Morocco Tours vs other Morocco tour companies
Most seven-day Morocco tour packages from Tangier are one-way and leave you in Marrakech, so you still need a flight or a 9-hour train ride back to the ferry. Ours is a real loop: the last day brings you to the port in Tangier through Chefchaouen.
We are a local team, so we publish real driving times, keep one driver-guide for the whole trip and never add compulsory shopping stops. If you prefer to finish in Marrakech, see the 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
Know before you go
- Days 4, 5 and 6 are long driving days, between 5 and 8 hours with stops.
- The Hassan II Mosque is closed to visitors on Friday morning; if day 2 is a Friday, we visit it in the afternoon.
- Ferries from Tarifa reach the Tanger Ville port in about one hour, and those from Algeciras reach Tanger Med in about 90 minutes; see our ferry from Spain to Morocco guide. Morocco is one hour behind Spain for most of the year.
- Bring your passport, not only an ID card: it is required to enter Morocco from Spain.
- From December to February, snow is possible in the Middle Atlas and on the Tizi n’Tichka, and desert nights drop close to freezing. Pack a warm layer; see what to wear in Morocco.
- In July and August the south is very hot, often above 40 °C. Spring and autumn are the best seasons: check the best time to visit Morocco.
- Bring cash in dirhams for lunches, entrance fees and tips. ATMs exist in every city on the route but not at the desert camp; see our guide to the Moroccan dirham and to tipping in Morocco.
- Pack a small overnight bag for the desert camp, because your main luggage stays in the vehicle.
- Tell us about any allergy or diet before departure. Riads and camps prepare vegetarian and vegan meals with notice.
