Favorites Morocco Tours vs other Morocco tour companies
Many 10-day Morocco tour packages are coach tours with fixed dates and thirty other travellers. Ours is a private journey with guided days in Fes and Marrakech, entrance fees included, a night by the sea in Essaouira and no day longer than about eight hours.
We are a local team, so you talk directly to the people who drive the route. We publish real driving times, keep the same driver-guide all the way and never add compulsory shopping stops. If you have two full weeks, see the 15 days tour through Morocco from Casablanca.
Know before you go
- Day 5 is the longest of the trip, about 8 hours with stops. Day 10 is about 4 h 30, so book an evening flight home if you can.
- The Hassan II Mosque is closed to visitors on Friday morning; if you land on a Friday, we visit it in the afternoon.
- Volubilis has very little shade. Bring a hat and water, especially from May to September.
- From December to February, snow is possible in the Middle Atlas and on the Tizi n’Tichka, and desert nights drop close to freezing. Pack a warm layer; see what to wear in Morocco.
- In July and August the south is very hot, often above 40 °C. Spring and autumn are the best seasons: check the best time to visit Morocco.
- Bring cash in dirhams for lunches, entrance fees and tips. ATMs exist in every city on the route but not at the desert camp; see our guide to the Moroccan dirham and to tipping in Morocco.
- Pack a small overnight bag for the desert camp, because your main luggage stays in the vehicle.
- Tell us about any allergy or diet before departure. Riads and camps prepare vegetarian and vegan meals with notice.
